All Anglican clergy conducting such weddings are legal Marriage Officers, licensed by the Cyprus Government to conduct weddings. The Chaplain who will be marrying you will arrange to meet you a couple of days before the ceremony and will discuss your marriage ceremony with you and go through the Order of Service. He will be able to discuss with any special readings or music or anything else you may wish to have included in the ceremony, for example you may wish him to mention family relatives who could not be with you for the wedding.

At this meeting, the following documents must be given to the Chaplain:

Required Documents

  1. Completed Church application form ( a copy should be faxed / emailed in advance)
  2. Form B (Cyprus Ministry of Interior License authorizing the wedding to take place at the time/date/location stated)
  3. Birth Certificates (Bride / Groom) and copy for Church files
  4. Passports (Bride & Groom) and copy for Church files
  5. Baptism Certificate (at least one of the couple must be baptized Christian)
  6. Full Names & Passport numbers for two witnesses (and a copy of passports for church files)
  7. Copy of declarations of freedom to marry (affidavits)
  8. Originals of Decree Absolute (if divorced)
  9. Originals of Death Certificate (if widowed)
  10. Parental Permission ( if under 18 years of age)

Cost

For 2010, the cost of an Anglican Church wedding is €600.00. The amount is payable in full, in Euros, at the time of the pre-wedding meeting with the Chaplain. There is a cancellation charge of €250.00 should the wedding be cancelled within six weeks of the date of the ceremony

ANGLICAN CHURCH BLESSINGS / RENEWAL OF VOWS

For those couples who are already married, we can also arrange for a Marriage Blessing or Renewal of vows ceremony to take place in our Church.

For 2010, the cost of such a ceremony is €390.00.
